A loop that closes. A short isn't just recorded. Picking shorts are reported so an employee can be assigned to follow up on and resolve them. Picking errors reported when packing are attributed to the picker, and it comes back to them between batches to resolve it, or show it's an inventory problem and not a mistake. A supervisor sees what's outstanding, whose it is, and how long it's been waiting. Nothing is written down and forgotten.

Your Odoo, unchanged. Batches, locations and products stay as they are. The picking and packing state lives in Odoo, so your reports and your stock moves are the same ones you have now.
How it works
The picker signs in by scanning their badge, choosing a batch, and scanning into an empty cart. Batches can also be assigned to selected pickers through the Supervisor Dashboard.
They work the list by voice. The app reads the location; they read back the check digit on the shelf. It reads the product and quantity; they confirm what they took. It then tells them which cart bins to put the product in; they read back the bin’s check digit and ‘put’ quantity. Anything wrong is said out loud and recorded there.
The packer signs in to a packing station then into a completed pick cart. They confirm each item by voice, tap or scan. The app creates cartons, prints labels and packing slips to your printers.
Anything unresolved comes back. Shorts go to whoever handles them. Errors found at packing return to the picker who made them.
Orders awaiting resolution are placed into a staging area. When order issues are resolved, the orders can be scanned onto re-work packing batches to maintain the accountability trail.
What you need: Android handhelds with barcode scanners — Zebra is preferred, or similar — and a Bluetooth headset for each worker. Along with a network label printer that accepts ZPL — Zebra or compatible. Odoo 17, 18 or 19.
Frequently Asked Questions
Work carries on. Picks and shorts are recorded on the device and sync when the signal returns. Voice keeps working too — speech recognition runs on the handheld, not in the cloud, so a dead spot in the racking doesn't stop a picker.
What if it's too noisy for voice?
The handheld's scanner and keypad work throughout. Check digits can be scanned and quantities typed, so a picker in a noisy bay can continue working.
Does it work with accents?
The recognizer listens for a small, fixed vocabulary — digits and about twenty commands — rather than open speech. That makes it far more forgiving than dictation. Each worker's language is set individually.
How long does it take a picker to learn?
That depends on the individual. However, there are only around twenty commands, and the app prompts for what it needs at each step — a picker follows what they hear rather than remembering a manual. Most are working comfortably within their first batch, and the spoken prompts are in their own language.
Do we have to change how our warehouse is set up?
No. It uses your locations, your products and your batches as they are. The one thing it adds is a check digit for each pickable location, which the module can generate.
How long does setup take?
Days, not months. The module installs into your Odoo, the app connects to it, and the handhelds are configured by scanning a setup code. The work is mostly yours rather than ours: deciding your cart naming, generating check digits for your locations, and a short session with your supervisors. There's no implementation project and no consultant on site.
What does it cost?
